Lizzo has joined the chat.
The 36-year-old “About Damn Time” singer spoke out after “South Park” targeted her in a new Ozempic episode titled “The End of Obesity.”
“Guys, my worst fear came true,” she stated in a TikTok video posted on Saturday. “I have been mentioned in a ‘South Park’ episode. “I am so scared.”
Lizzo addressed âSouth Parkâ targeting her in a new Ozempic episode called âThe End of Obesity.â
âGuys, my worst fear has been actualized,â she said in a clip posted to TikTok Saturday.
Lizzo â who has been an advocate for body positivity â then mirrored the episode on her screen to show viewers her reaction in a âblind duet.â
The clip featured sitcom character Sharon Marsh walking in the park with Sheila Broflovski, raving about how the ânew drugsâ she was prescribed were âpretty amazing.â
Marsh said she previously felt âso ashamedâ of herself for not having the âwillpowerâ to work out and eat less to shed pounds.
The fictional character then explained that her doctor wouldnât prescribe her Ozempic or Mounjaro as her insurance wouldnât cover it because she didnât have Type II Diabetes.
âIâve been referenced in a South Park episode. Iâm so scared,â the singer continued.
Lizzo then mirrored the episode to show her reaction.
However, the medical professional said there was âa whole new obesity drugâ for people who couldnât âaffordâ the cost of the celebrity-loved medication.
âIâve controlled all my cravings to be thinner with Lizzo,â Marsh said, as Lizzoâs mouth dropped in shock.
The clip then rolled into a commercial for the advertised âonce-weekly diet suppressor,â which was raved to have âlowered standards and expectationsâ about weight.
The ad noted that âcase studiesâ cited that â70 percent of patients on Lizzo no longer care about how much they weigh.â
Mirroring the clip, it showed character Sharon Marsh explaining she couldnât afford Ozempic, so she was prescribed a new drug called Lizzo instead.
The âAbout Damn Timeâ singerâs jaw dropped upon seeing the show producers also created a commercial for the drug.
They also bashed the âGood As Hellâ rapper, claiming the drug allows users to âeat everythingâ they want and âkeep physical activity to a minimum.â
Lizzoâs eyes continued to widen as the commercial continued, âStop listening to Lizzo if you experience suicidal thoughts. Serious side effects include pancreatitis, hypothermia [and] shitting out your ears.â
âThatâs crazy,â she said after stopping the clip. âI just feel like, damn, âIâm really that bitch.ââ
The drug was advertised to help people âno longer care about how much they weigh.â
âThatâs crazy,â Lizzo said after stopping the clip.
Referencing âSouth Parkâ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, she added, âI really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a fâk to a point where these men in Colorado know who the fâk I am and put it on their cartoon thatâs been around for 25 years.â
She continued, âIâm really that bitch and Iâll show yâall how to not give a fâk and Iâm going to keep on showing you how to not give a fâk.â
Mimicking the commercial jingle, she signed off, âOh, oh Lizzooo, bitch.â
âI just feel like, damn, âIâm really that bitch,’â she continued.
The rapper continued, âI really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a fâk.â
Several fans were also left shocked, as one commented, âTHAT WAS BRUTAL.â
âI did NOT expect it to go that way,â another added.
âTook it like a queen,â a third chimed in, referring to the hitmakerâs response.
Lizzo added that she was encouraged to continue showing people to not care about what others think.
Several fans referred to the commercial as âbrutal.â
While Lizzo has always embraced her body, sheâs currently in the middle of a scathing lawsuit filed by a group of ex-dancers alleging that she fat-shamed and đâŻđually harassed them.
In September 2023, the âTruth Hurtsâ singer claimed via her lawyers that the suit should be dismissed for several reasons.
She also spoke out on social media, referring to the allegations as âfalseâ and saying sheâd ânever criticize or terminate an employee because of their weight.â
