Nicki Minaj has been fined after being taken into police custody at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for allegedly “carrying drugs.”
“We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs,” the Dutch authorities confirmed via X Saturday afternoon.
“After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey.”
The amount of the fine was not disclosed.

The “Starships” hitmaker confirmed on X earlier in the day that police found marijuana in her luggage.
“ now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent,” she wrote.
“My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him.”
“After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey,” they added.
The detainment caused Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” world tour stop in Manchester, England, to be postponed.

In earlier tweets from Saturday, Minaj claimed her arrest in Amsterdam was part of an attempt to “sabotage” her world tour.
“They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me,” she alleged. “They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc.”
In another tweet, she said she recently fired her management team for allegedly charging $30,000 to $50,000 more for her private jets and keeping the extra cash for themselves.
Before her arrest, Minaj claimed she was being sabotaged by former employees.
“They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me,” she alleged.
“Their goal is to make me late, & to pocket 40K,” she claimed.
In her last update to fans, Minaj said she had to take a five-minute trip to the police precinct to “make a statement” about her security.
She has not addressed the arrest on social media since 10:51 a.m. ET.
