Anticipating the reaction of public opinion, the photographer who took the photo series – Steven Klein, made a statement to the media: “The crew who took this photo series did not intend to reproduce the exact same image. But more importantly, we wanted to explore the relationship between the character and the photographer.
From real-life friendships to creative relationships during working collaborations, about how art can reflect life and vice versa. Madonna and I want to recreate the intimate relationship between Marilyn Monroe and the art of photography, recreating the legendary beauty and tragedy of a legendary star.”
In an interview with V magazine, Madonna also shared about her forever youthful image, even though she has been active in the entertainment industry for the past four decades: “I never think about At my age, it really is, I just do what I have to do and just keep living, just keep moving on.
Even when I perform with age-related diseases like bone and joint pain and everyone advises me to stop, I still won’t stop, I will keep going until the carriage falls… cake and could not go any further.”
Talking about her love affair with her 27-year-old boyfriend – dancer Ahlamalik Williams, who has performed in many of Madonna’s tour shows, the veteran singer said: “What I love about Ahlamalik Williams is , that’s his dedication to what he does. Madonna also shared in the interview that she always sees herself as a brave female warrior in life, having overcome many hardships, obstacles and challenges: “In the autobiography I am writing, There is a saying that I always repeat when my mother passed away, I grieved and got up and moved on.
When my close friends passed away from the disease of the century – AIDS, I grieved, got up and moved on. When I was raped by a stranger and held a knife to my neck, I felt sad, stood up and moved on. When I was betrayed by a loved one, I felt sad, got up and moved on.
In this life, you either have the strength to stand up and move on, or you just sit there and keep thinking about what other people think about you.”
