Stunning Development! Black Noir II’s Role in The Boys Season 4 Leaves Key Seven Member Reeling!

The arrival of Black Noir II in Season 4 of The Boys will have a disproportionate impact on one of the Seven. The original Black Noir fought alongside Soldier Boy on the Payback squad, but after Jensen Ackles’ character disappeared, he joined the Seven and taught Homelander how to be a Supe. Unfortunately, he finally offended Homelander and was brutally murdered by his erstwhile buddy for concealing the truth about his family. In season 4, a new Black Noir will join The Boys’ cast and wear the quiet Supe’s outfit, which will undoubtedly differ from his predecessor, despite the fact that both are played by Nathan Mitchell.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant ahead of season 4’s release, The Boys star Chace Crawford (The Deep) explains how Black Noir II changes the dynamics of the Seven. The Deep, in particular, finds a friend in the new Noir, and the two function as “Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum“. After the bizarre and muted personality of the original Black Noir, it will be a serious departure for the character to stand alongside the hated Deep. Check out Crawford’s full quote below:

“Yeah, it was good this year! It was nice because Nathan [Mitchell], the actor who plays him, we were all friends with him. To get to actually have some scenes with Nathan was for me very enjoyable. But it is funny, we’re like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum now that it’s a different Noir. To have that little back-and-forth just was a delight this year, to be honest. I kind of like to show him the ropes and have that scene where I’m talking about violence. And now I’m remembering, we have [some] funny moments. All that stuff was so much fun for me, and I look forward to it all the time. It was great working with Noir this season, for sure.”

Black Noir Will Be Very Different In The Boys Season 4

A New Black Noir Will Wear The Suit

Black Noir’s horrific death in The Boys season 3, episode 8, “The Instant White-Hot Wild” left the Seven in a difficult position. Because members of the Seven are constantly dying, Vought’s league of experienced Supes has looked utterly weak. For an organization hoping to market superpowers, having so many heroes die at Homelander’s hands, at the hands of the Boys, and by their own doing, can make their powers appear underwhelming. It also proves just how poorly Vought has been handling its supposed heroes.

Vought and the Seven can avoid shame by pretending Black Noir never perished. In season 4 of The Boys, Mitchell will reprise his job as an actor, although his portrayal of Black Noir will vary significantly. Homelander is likely to handpick the newest member of the Seven, but the new Black Noir may differ from his predecessor in personality, being more vocal, less capable, and less experienced. He’ll also know less about Homelander than the original Black Noir did.

Black Noir II will also have diverse relationships. While the first Black Noir had few friends, his successor will be a close companion of the Deep. He will also likely have various abilities, goals, and a need to prove himself. Details about the forthcoming season debut of The Boys are still being revealed. With Vought under Homelander’s control, Black Noir II might be the rogue Supe’s ally or covert opponent.
