The headlining act for this year’s St. Kitts Music Festival, which takes place at Warner Park Stadium in Basseterre from June 22 to 30, is none other than nine-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige.
In its 26th year, the festival offers performances by artists across a variety of genres, such as gospel, blues, reggae, soul, soca, jazz, R&B, calypso, and meringue. Pumpa, Adam O, Third World, and Freddie Jackson are among the other major performers.
There are a lot of other events and activities planned for the week, including beach parties, lunchtime concerts, and special boat trips, in addition to the major music events that will take place at Warner Park Stadium from June 27 to 29. The festival’s grand finale will take place at Carambola’s White Sands Mardi Gras party.
“We are so proud of how much this festival has grown in recent years,” said Ellison “Tommy” Thompson, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “This epic weekend kicks off our annual Summer of Fun, creating even more reasons to visit St. Kitts in the summer months.”
As part of the the Seize the Summer promotion, which includes the Nevis Mango Festival on July 5 to 7, and the St. Kitts & Nevis Restaurant Week from July 11 to 21, guests can get up to two nights free at these participating properties: the Sugar Bay Club, St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Park Hyatt St. Kitts, Sunset Reef and the Royal St. Kitts Hotel.
