Usher Says ‘My Momma Like & Love Her Too,’ While Opening Up About His Relationship w/ Jennifer Goicoechea + Reveals The Longest He’s Remained Single
It seems like Usher is enjoying his life off of the market.
R&B superstar Usher recently opened up about his private love life with Jennifer Goicoechea, while sharing how “amazing” his significant other is. During an interview on Angie Martinez’s “IRL Podcast,” Usher touched on being in a confident and exciting space in his life amid his healthy relationship with Jennifer Goicoechea. Usher admitted:
“I got an amazing partner in life, Jennifer Goicoechea.”

Angie Martinez chimed in revealing that her glam team — who does glam for Usher’s shows — was gushing over his partner and how well she took care of them on set. Usher — who didn’t seem surprised by Jennifer’s kindness, replied:
“Yeah, my momma like her and love her too.”
The 44-year-old continued:
“[It’s] hard to accomplish that too, those two things.”
The “In The Mix” actor and Jennifer share a one-year-old 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 boy, Sire Raymond, and a two-year-old daughter, Sovereign Bo. Usher also shares two children, Naviyd and Usher V, with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.
Usher then shared what changed in his life for him to be open to such a loving and healthy relationship.
“Sometimes you go through sh*t to get through sh*t, you know what I’m saying? You go through something to get to something in life. A good friend of mine DJ Rogers used to say this to me all the time, he’s like ‘yo, if there were no humps in life they’d be nothing to get over…’ Now I get it. You live long enough, you begin to understand and, as I said, prioritize what makes sense.”

After agreeing with Angie that you need to develop self-reflection and take accountability while alone, Usher added:
“We all out here looking for something else and not able to, you know, be single long enough to – and that sound crazy for saying that cause I’m never single long enough to even do it. But I did in the two months that I was able to be single.”
The “Climax” singer admitted that his two-month relationship hiatus was “good” but it “wasn’t as good as what he has.”
Usher then said:
“I’m never like, not single. I’m never single. I love, love. I’m just f*cking bad at it. I’m getting better. Good partnership definitely breeds great things.”
