As Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules draws to an end, Ariana Madix keeps having to cope with absurdity. Initially, there was the chaos that Tom Sandoval created after their breakup, which lasted for ten years. She then got Lala Kent and company to support Sandoval and ask why Ariana declined to accompany her ex-boyfriend on his “redemption” tour. It’s amazing how poised Ariana manages to stay.

For Ariana, the third installment of the Pump Rules reunion was difficult in a lot of ways. In addition to defending her career on VPR generally, she had to contend with being blindsided by that wild climax. In addition, she had to handle inquiries concerning Daniel Wai, her new partner. It seems as though she is constantly having to defend her dating decisions to Sandoval and his friends these days.

Ariana’s man doesn’t want the spotlight

During the Vanderpump Rules reunion, Andy Cohen asked Ariana why Daniel didn’t participate in group events during the final cast trip to San Francisco. “He’s not getting paid,” Ariana said bluntly. Sounds fair to us.

Andy tried to double down by saying that Daniel is still Ariana’s boyfriend as if that means he has to hang out with her castmate/ex-boyfriend while cameras are rolling. Ariana defended her man again, saying he had other friends in San Francisco to see while she was filming the show that she stars in. “He doesn’t want to be on this show,” she added. And that’s on that.

For one moment during the reunion, Lala actually defended Ariana for not having her man in the middle of the Pump Rules drama.  “I felt like it was already such an awkward dynamic that was happening,” Lala commented. “I was like, ‘Girl you’ve got it figured out. He’s there when you come home and go to bed.’” Period.
