Kendrick Lamar may be working on a new project soon.
For months, even before his viral rap feud with Drake, there had been rumors that Kendrick Lamar might release a new album this year. Fans are optimistic despite the fact that the “Not Like Us” singer has not yet verified this, especially since his colleagues have been giving out cryptic clues about what’s to come. For instance, Terrace Martin recently responded to a fan who inquired about Kendrick’s whereabouts on Twitter/X. He claims that great things are on the horizon.
The fan commented, “Sounds like a big W,” in response to a Roddy Ricch announcement. “But who is locked in with Dot now?” Then, Martin clarified that Kendrick has been collaborating with a number of artists, though he didn’t name them specifically. “All of us,” he murmured.

He didn’t give fans any more details than that, leaving them to speculate in the comments section. These are far from the first mumblings fans have heard of new Kendrick music, however. In April, Rory & Mal chatted about his response to Drake, which had not yet arrived, on their podcast. Mal claimed that a “little bird” told him it was taking so long because Kendrick was saving it for a new album, which would drop in May of this year. Obviously, June is just around the corner and that’s yet to drop, but if there’s any truth to what Mal said, it could mean his next project is imminent.
