Prince Harry Allegedly Looking For ‘Permanent’ UK Home As ‘Many’ Friends Don’t ‘Get Along With Meghan’

Prince Harry is reportedly looking for a permanent UK home after being evicted from Frogmore Cottage.

According to a source close to the royal family, Harry’s desire for a UK home is driven by his affinity and ties to friends and his former UK life, which he’s understood to be missing.

The Duke of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍, Prince Harry, previously expressed his sadness about leaving Frogmore Cottage and is said to be “deeply upset” that King Charles wants his uncle Prince Andrew to move there.

According to The Mirror, Harry is on a mission to secure a residence in the UK.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told the news outlet that the Duke of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 is looking for a “permanent” home in the country as he wants to remain in touch with his old life and misses his friends back home.

“As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK. Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles,” Quinn shared.

He added, “He misses his old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan. Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”

Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, lived in the UK at their Frogmore Cottage residence in Windsor Castle before relocating to their California home, where they now reside with their children.

The property, which the late Queen Elizabeth II gifted to them, was understood to be what he called his “forever home” after they invested heavily in its renovation.

However, they were evicted from the property last year after stepping down from their Royal duties and royal family in 2020.

In his record-breaking memoir “Spare,” the duke recounted his sadness at having to leave Frogmore Cottage after calling for a meeting with King Charles and Prince William in the wake of his grandfather, Prince Philip’s funeral.

He wrote, “Once upon a time, this was going to be my forever home. Instead, it had proved to be just another brief stop.”

Harry is said to be unhappy about a decision his father, King Charles, made regarding the occupant of his once-beloved Frogmore Cottage.

The royal family continues to battle strained relationships among its members, with the latest being that of Charles and his estranged younger brother, Prince Andrew.

The monarch wants Andrew to vacate the Royal Lodge in Windsor and move into Frogmore Cottage, where Harry and Meghan previously lived.

However, the Duke of York remains unwilling to evict the property, which he has called home for more than two decades now, leaving his relationship with Charles on the line.

Speaking to the Mirror, Quinn disclosed that the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 hoped to be allowed to re-establish Frogmore Cottage at Windsor as their UK home.

“However deep the rift with his father and brother, Harry always had hopes that he and Meghan might eventually be allowed to re-establish Frogmore Cottage at Windsor as their UK base,” he said.

“He will be deeply upset at the prospect of his uncle Prince Andrew moving into Frogmore – a very real prospect as King Charles insists that Andrew cannot continue to live at Royal Lodge, the 30-room mansion on the Windsor estate where Andrew has lived for decades,” Quinn added.

Prince Harry Scores Small Victory In Security Ruling AppealPrince Harry & Meghan Markle smiling and clapping

Like other senior royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 received taxpayer-funded security protection at the time they were members of the royal family.

That privilege was stripped from them by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) after they resigned from their duty, sparking a wave of lawsuits between Harry and the Home Office.

Harry then sued the Home Office in 2020 after they downgraded his security details when he was in the UK.

In February, retired High Court judge Sir Peter Lane ruled that Ravec’s decision was “legally sound” as he dismissed Harry’s case. In April, again, the high court denied him permission to challenge the court’s ruling in a higher court.

However, according to the BBC, the court of appeal, presided over by Lord Justice Bean, has now allowed for an appeal hearing following a direct application from Harry’s lawyers.
