Maybe the beef is becoming heated again.
The hip-hop classic “Meet the Grahams” will always rank among the greatest of the decade. It was not just that it was a nasty, terrifying diss, but also that it was released just minutes after Drake released his own. The Toronto rapper was immediately checkmated by Kendrick Lamar, and “Not Like Us” was the winning track a day later. Although “Meet the Grahams” was well received as a song by both critics and fans, it was questioned as a Drake exposé. Many thought Lamar was just making things up to hurt his opponent’s reputation.
DJHed just released a new episode of Effective Immediately. The moment Charlamagne tha God was introduced to talk about the aftermath of the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar match, he brought up “Meet the Grahams.” The co-host of Breakfast Club acknowledged that Lamar had made a significant record, but she questioned if the accusations he made about Drake were true. “I don’t know if everything on ‘Meet the Grahams’ is true,” he said. “But a large part of it was just the self-reflection.” In response, DJHed shared what seemed to be intimate knowledge from Kendrick Lamar. DJHed argued, “I mean, he told me everything was facts.”.
Kendrick Lamar Allegedly Told DJHed The Song Had “Facts”
The radio personality has been a peripheral figure throughout the Drake and Kendrick Lamar battle. He generated controversy on May 3 when he claimed that the 6 God failed to drop a diss because he was scared of what Kendrick Lamar had planned. He also mocked the rapper for making “microwave” music in comparison to the Compton icon. “If you enjoy microwave meals that’s on you,” he tweeted at Drake fans. “We prefer cooked food on this side.”
DJHed’s claim that everything said on “Meet the Grahams” is surprising on a completely different level, though. Kendrick Lamar accuses Drake of having a daughter that isn’t part of his life. He also claims the rapper is knowingly perpetrating and allowing crimes to be committed against underage girls. The major reason fans balked at the claims of both Lamar and Drake is that neither rapper presented evidence to back them up. They merely said horrible things about each other and left it at that. The beef has cooled off in June. That being said, other rappers and industry insiders have alluded to the fact that there might be more to come.
