Dua Lipa gave a fantastic performance as she headlined the opening night of the Glastonbury Festival.

The 28-year-old English-Albanian singer performed a medley of hits and acrobatic dance routines in a leather studded bodysuit in front of thousands of fans at Worthy Farm.

However, several fans wondered if she was miming during her performance because her lips appeared to be out of sync with the music at moments.

Glastonbury fans have criticized Dua Lipa for allegedly miming her first headline concert at the event on Friday.

Those who watched the set characterized the thought of the One Kiss hitmaker not performing live as ‘awful’.

One user on X, formerly Twitter, expressed disappointment that #DuaLipa is unable to perform live. Don’t show up at Glasto and mime. Rubbish.’

Others were enthralled by Dua’s two-hour performance, which included live vocals on many of the tracks.

They wrote, “Dua Lipa is actually too good.” God, I wish I were there.

She addressed the audience, ‘I can’t believe this; I’ve dreamed about it my entire life.

During her performance, the audience could be heard enthusiastically chanting along to the lyrics of her 2018 song One Kiss with Calvin Harris.

She told the crowd: ‘I can’t believe this, I’ve dreamed about this my whole life

‘And I can’t believe I’m right up here, right here, with you guys, I am so happy to be here with you guys tonight,’ she said

While some fans predicted Calvin Harris might have made a surprise appearance, the DJ was nowhere to be seen

At one point Dua stood on the back of a backing dancer

The provocative leather costume revealed Dua’s arm tattoos as she tossed her arms in the air.

It comes after Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis said the pop star was ‘born’ to headline the festival

She told BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show there will be ‘no big surprises’ at this year’s event

Earlier, Emily defended the festival line-up amid criticism that there is a lack of rock band

The Glastonbury festival will not broadcast the Euro 2024 football competition, despite England’s match against Slovakia in the final 16 on Sunday at 5pm.

Emily stated that the festival had set up a screen to view World Cup matches in 1998, but times had changed.

‘We used to have a screen here as no-one had any means of finding out what even the result was because we were so cut off from the outside,’ she said.

‘Now everyone’s connected, and I think, you know, it’s a music festival.

‘I’m sure if people want to see it enough they can check for results or whatever on their phones.
