Prince Harry doesn’t feel Meghan Markle, kids safe in UK, constantly reminded of Diana’s death: Royal Family experts

Prince Harry is hesitant to bring his kids, Archie and Lilibet, to the UK, according to GB News. In a recent podcast, Cameron Walker and Digital Editor Svar Nanan-Sen discussed this and Harry’s case against the Home Office.

Prince Harry lost his police protection in the UK after stepping down as a royal in 2020. The Duke of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 is now fighting this in court. Cameron argued that Harry hesitates to bring his children to the UK due to the lack of taxpayer-funded protection.

“You remember in the Netflix documentary series, Meghan spoke very openly and quite emotionally about this, the fear she had in terms of her family’s safety, checking all the doors were locked at night in her Montecito house and worried for her children’s safety as well,” Walker said.

“You can see how passionately Harry feels about that and how important of an issue it is to him. He suffered a couple of court defeats now and he’s still fighting his way, plus he’s got another appeal coming up,” Nanan-Sen said.

Nanan-Sen indicated that it was evident the matter was of great concern to them. He also believed that Harry would not be taking these steps unless he planned to visit the UK more frequently with his family. Nanan-Sen emphasised that Harry clearly considered it important to bring his family over.

“Well, that’s the crux of it because Harry’s case is he does not feel safe. He doesn’t feel his family is safe when they’re in the UK because they do not have police protection officers with the Metropolitan Police with him.” Walker said.

“So perhaps that is the main reason why Prince Harry isn’t bringing Meghan and Archie and Lilibet over to the UK because he can’t guarantee, he would say he can’t guarantee their safety.

Lady Diana connection

Walker stated that he believed Prince Harry had been constantly reminded of what happened to his mother. Lady Diana, since August 31, 1997.

He pointed out that she chose not to have her protection officers and did not have police protection when she died in the car crash in Paris. Walker suggested that this had a profound impact on Prince Harry, making him fearful about bringing his family to the UK.

Meghan Markle’s father doesn’t expect birthday wishes from his daughter and son-in-law, Prince Harry. Thomas Markle, who will turn 80 in July, has criticised Harry, claiming the Duke of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 never tried to reach out to him.

Thomas Markle doesn’t expect the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 to send him birthday wishes. He blames Prince Harry for his strained relationship with Meghan. He hasn’t spoken to his daughter in six years. He hasn’t met Prince Harry. He has never met his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, either.

The retired television lighting director and director of photography says he is in the same situation as King Charles because neither of the grandfathers has a relationship with Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet. “Neither of us deserves the treatment we’ve received,” he said.

Prince Harry is “trying to go at it alone” and “not trying to become a working royal” again, according to GB News Royal correspondent Cameron Walker. The Duke of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 quit his role as a working royal in January 2020 and moved to the US with his wife, Meghan Markle.

Walker was asked if the recent events involving senior Royals stepping back—three in total, one in the hospital and two regularly visiting for treatment—might have influenced Prince Harry to adopt a more responsible role.

Walker believes the situation isn’t related to temporary absences of Royal Family members like the Princess of Wales and Princess Anne. Instead, he thinks the individual is attempting to manage on his own and isn’t trying to reintegrate as a working member of the Royal Family.

“I think he is pretty happy in California from the messages we are getting from him, but clearly it is a huge frustration. I think perhaps for those Royal watchers and those Royal fans who think what could have been if he stayed as a working member and how much he could have perhaps helped,” he added.

As King Charles battles cancer, Prince William is reportedly playing a more dominant role in the Royal Family. Now, a news report claims that the Prince of Wales is in charge of deciding whether his brother, Prince Harry, is given a chance at reconciliation.

William has imposed an “absolute ban on Harry returning in any way, shape or form to the family fold”, a Royal Family insider has claimed.

“There is a sense that William has stepped into the Prince Philip role. Philip ruled the family with a rod of iron and you saw when he died that discipline collapsed,” a source told OK! Magazine. “Now William is calling the shots when it comes to family discipline. He can be scary.”

If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to maintain a relationship with the rest of the family, they must stop criticising them, Royal Family expert Russell Myers earlier told Sky News Australia.

  • Why Labour must form the next government

YOU WOULD never know it from a low-wattage campaign but after 14 years of Conservative rule, Britain is on the threshold of a Labour victory so sweeping that it may break records. No party fully subscribes to the ideas that The Economist holds dear. The economic consensus in Britain has shifted away from liberal values—free trade, individual choice and limits to state intervention. But elections are about the best available choice and that is clear. If we had a vote on July 4th, we, too, would pick Labour, because it has the greatest chance of tackling the biggest problem that Britain faces: a chronic and debilitating lack of economic growth.

Consider first the alternatives. We can discard some immediately. The Scottish National Party wants to dismember Britain, not run it. The Greens make student politics look rigorous. Reform UK, Nigel Farage’s outfit, offers a fevered, nativist vision of Britain that would accelerate the very decline it says it is striving to prevent.
