Kim Kardashian‘s ex-boyfriend, Ray J, shared an alarming post following the 2024 BET Awards at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday.
After making an allusion to a backstage altercation that occurred at the event, the 43-year-old rapper shared a photo of himself walking the red carpet looking calm and collected, which he said was taken before ‘it all went bad.’
‘First at #BET and then later on too! – I’m really at a braking point!’ he captioned the image on his Instagram Story. ‘To provide for my family and have generational wealth was always the plan. But, money is evil and people are band and I can’t take it anymore!’
He continued: ‘These chain of reactions are stemming from being locked in a false reality/ confused about this whole life!’
The singer said the ‘s**t’ going on around him is ‘mind blowing’ and making him ‘suicidal and uncomfortable with the perception of reality.’

He proceeded to claim that BET Awards staff locked him out of the show and ‘wouldn’t let’ him ‘back in for some reason.’
‘I don’t know who they didn’t want me to see — it was weird,’ he noted.
Toward the end of his rant, he wrote: ‘THEY PAID ME TO SHUT UP AND I DID! I FEEL BAD AND HATE MYSELF FOR IT! I DON’T WANT ANYMORE OF YOUR DIRTY MONEY!!’
In a very concerning move, he ended the post by writing goodbye to his sister, Brandy, and promised he would ‘make it right.’
‘I won’t let them get away with it!’ he concluded. ‘I told the people close to me that I felt like something is about to happen. F**k it. I said [it].’
According to Us Weekly, he was ‘involved in a physical altercation with Zeus Network CEO Lemuel Plummer outside of rapper GloRilla’s BET Awards afterparty.’
In footage shared online of the brawl, the two men appeared to get in an argument, before Ray J seemingly swung at Plummer, but blocked by security and removed.
He is currently in the middle of a divorce from Princess Love, who he shares daughter Melody five, and son Epik, four.

His post comes after claiming him and Kardashian paved the way for adult content website OnlyFans with their 2007 infamous 𝓈ℯ𝓍 tape, Kardashian, Superstar.
While appearing on the Club Shay Shay podcast with Shannon Sharpe earlier this month, he stated that ‘everything would be different’ if it weren’t for the tape.
‘Probably more people would be going to college… there might not be any OnlyFans and other things like that,’ he added. ‘Are we a part of the cure or are we a part of the disease? I don’t f*****g know. I’m just trying to make it right.’
Ray J also admitted his perspective has changed because he has kids now, and that he was ’embarrassed’ that the tape came out.
‘Everything that we did, now that I have kids, is totally different. The whole thing is wacky.’
‘Without me going too far into it, without me getting in trouble… No, it’s not okay now.’
It’s not the first time the musician has spoken about the 𝓈ℯ𝓍 tape with Kim.
In 2022 he claimed that her mother, Kris Jenner, 68, selected one of three 𝓈ℯ𝓍 tapes he shot with Kim for release of the adult film.
The artist said that Kim’s mother and manager Jenner watched the three 𝓈ℯ𝓍 tapes and decided to release one which was shot at a resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., said that two of the adult movies were shot in Cabo San Lucas, and one was filmed in Santa Barbara, California.
He continued: ‘These chain of reactions are stemming from being locked in a false reality/ confused about this whole life!’
In a bombshell interview with DailyMail.com in May, Ray J claimed the infamous 𝓈ℯ𝓍 tape was ‘released like an album’ by Kim herself – who also kept the only copy of it stashed in a Nike shoebox under her bed along with other steamy tapes she made with him.
The musician also claimed Kris was the one who introduced him to Vivid CEO Steven Hirsch.
Vivid was the company that released the 𝓈ℯ𝓍 tape between Kim and Ray J in 2007.
Jenner has denied any involvement in the release of the tape, which boosted the family’s high-profile, eventually leading to unprecedented success in reality TV, and paving the path toward its marketing empire.
In 2022, Jenner passed a test on The Late Late Show, as a polygrapher said she was truthful in saying she did not arrange for the release of the 𝓈ℯ𝓍 tape.
Kim and Ray J dated on and off for around three years, from 2003 until 2007.
Ray J has two children with his estranged wife, meanwhile Kim has four children with her ex-husband Kanye West.
They share daughters North, 11, and Chicago, six, as well as sons Saint, eight, and Psalm, five.
