Chile! It looks like Drake is unfazed by the release of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ music video.
Drake Parties While K.Dot Continues To Take Shots
While Kendrick Lamar dropped his highly anticipated diss track visuals for ‘Not Like Us,’ Drake was busy turning up with some major stars at Michael Rubin’s 4th of July party.
According to PageSix, Michael Rubin hosted his annual all-white bash on Thursday (July 4) at his home in Bridgehampton, New York.
TMZ reports that the star-studded guest list included Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Lala Anthony, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, GloRilla, Wiz Khalifa, Mary J. Blige, Jake Paul, Winnie Harlow, Meek Mill, Kevin Durant and many more famous faces.
The outlet also noted that Drake popped out for the event. NFR Podcast shared candid photos and videos of Drake at the affair on X, formerly known as Twitter. The official page for the entertainment podcast uploaded pics of the Canadian rapper posing alongside Michael Rubin and singer Camila Cabello.
Despite the release of K.Dot’s new music video dropping on the same day, Drake seemed to be giving very much unbothered, as shown in a video from NFR Podcast where he was seen chopping it up with GloRilla. The quick clip shows the musicians getting acquainted while Nicki Minaj’s ‘Moment 4 Life’ plays in the background.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Kendrick Lamar officially released the video for his diss track aimed at Drake, ‘Not Like Us’ on July 4th. The music video is already doing crazy numbers, as it currently has over 24 million views.
Per TSR, Kendrick’s visual features some dope moments with appearances by Tommy the Clown and DJ Mustard. The almost 6-minute video also shows Lamar’s longtime partner, Whitney Alford, and their two children playing in a living room setting.
Social media users quickly noticed that K.Dot’s release of his video for ‘Not Like Us’ coincided with the 4th of July holiday and Michael Rubin’s party.
Several users also praised the Compton rapper for strategically releasing the video after his viral Juneteenth concert. The iconic show included performances by Dr. Dre, Tyler The Creator, Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla $ign, Roddy Rich, YG, Mustard & Friends, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Steve Lacy, and Ab-Soul.
However, what really set things off was when Kendrick performed ‘Not Like Us’ five times in a row.
