Caitlin Clark is off to an astounding start to her WNBA career.

The Indiana Fever’s No. 1 overall pick became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double this past weekend — notching 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds in a win over the New York Liberty.

While many of Clark’s rookie stats are impressive — others are somewhat concerning.

Clark currently leads the WNBA in turnovers by a wide margin. The first-year pro averages 5.5 turnovers per game, outpacing Alyssa Thomas’ 3.8 per game.

During the most recent episode of Undisputed, Skip Bayless called out Clark for her “careless” behavior that leads to these turnovers.

“Caitlin Clark now has 42 more turnovers than any other player in the league… 42 more? Are you kidding me? It’s hard to overcome that,” Bayless said. “So many are just careless… You shouldn’t try that, because that’s not going to get through.”

“She is second in the league in assists, but that gets cancelled out when you have 42 more turnovers than anybody else does,” he continued.

Because of these turnover issues, Bayless believes Angel Reese holds the edge over Clark in this year’s Rookie of the Year race. Reese set the all-time record for consecutive double-doubles with her 13th on Sunday.

Clark and the Fever will face off against the Washington Mystics in their next matchup on Wednesday.
