Jason Aldean has been a staple in country music for nearly two decades, producing hit after hit and amassing a huge fanbase.
Aldean’s words hold weight with not only his fans, but his critics as well.
What Would Jason Aldean Change About Country Music?
In speaking with the “Let Your Boys Be Country” singer, on the latest episode of Taste of Country Nights with Evan Paul On Demand, I asked him this exact question.
Aldean perked up in his chair, and was quick to give a strong, opinionated answer.
“Social media … across the board, get rid of it.“
The “My Kinda Party” singer continued, “It’s gonna be a very unpopular answer, but I just think social media, when used in the right way, is great. Right? When it’s used in the right way, it’s amazing. But, like anything, people take advantage of stuff, and they turn it into something it wasn’t intended to be.
Aldean continued with his strongly worded answer.
“To me, it’s done, I don’t know, I just think, ya know, you see people they just can’t get out of their phones, ya know, they’re just, ya know, and they’re so oblivious to what’s going on in the outside world, it drives me crazy.”
People have asked Aldean why he doesn’t post more on social media, as he kept going and divulged some more insight into his daily life.
“So, people wonder why I don’t post any more than I do on Instagram and those kind of things, it’s like, ‘I post, ’cause it’s like, I don’t live on that thing,’ so, if I could get rid of something, it’d probably be that.”
