Meghan Trainor claimed that she and her husband, Daryl Sabara, are renovating their new home to include a bathroom with adjacent toilets where they may relieve themselves “knees to knees.”
“We’re moving into a new house, and it has a toilet facing this way, and a bidet across from it,” the “All About That Bass” singer said on Monday’s episode of the “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard” podcast.
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara are installing adjacent bathrooms in their new home.
“We’re moving into a new house, and it has a toilet facing this way, and a bidet across from it,” she shared on the “Armchair Expert” podcast.
Trainor continued, “It’s gonna be a little different, but it’s a tighter bathroom area, so we will be close. Knees to knees. And that’s better. I want to see him.”
The pop star, 30, and Sabara, 32, purchased a $17 million home in Los Angeles in May.
Trainor, who previously shared that she and the “Spy Kids” star had dueling toilets in their last house, also slammed those who criticized her for the unusual bathroom layout.
She said that their new bathroom is smaller so their toilets “will be close.”
“I want to see him,” she joked.
The pop star revealed she and her husband installed toilets next to each other in their previous home in 2021.
“I got destroyed for this,” she recalled. “Those people were like, ‘Imagine thinking this was normal?’ I was like, ‘Sorry you don’t know what love is. Get over it.’”
The “No” singer also clarified that she and Sabara do not go number two in front of each other when using the bathroom in tandem.
“I don’t like him pooping next to me,” she said. “I tell him that. I go, ‘You know, we’re not supposed to do that.’ We just pee. We’re not s–tting.’ You guys assumed poop, didn’t you?”
She explained that they both needed to pee at the same time when they were busy taking care of their young kids.
The couple share sons Riley, 3, and Barry, 1.
Trainor initially came up with the double toilet idea because she and the actor were both constantly peeing in the middle of the night when they were up taking care of their two sons: Riley, 3, and Barry, 1.
“Here’s why we did it: because we have young babies, so we’re getting up every hour on the hour, and this dude pees like a girl,” she said. “So I was like, ‘Get out of my way. I have to piss.’”
The Grammy winner even shared that when Sabara had to use the toilet while she was in the middle of going, she would lift her legs and tell him to “go in.”
“And he’s like, ‘No, I’m not doing that,’” she said, joking, “There’s a shower. Figure it out.”
“I solved this crime, and I was like, ‘We’re going to pee at the same time in our own bowls,’” Trainor said.
They bought a $17 million property in Los Angeles in May.
Due to the toilet turbulence, Trainor decided that the only answer was to put two toilets in the same bathroom.
“So then I solved this crime, and I was like, ‘We’re going to pee at the same time in our own bowls,'” she recalled, describing the answer as “practicality.”
In October 2021, the “Lips Are Movin” singer said that she and the former child star had their toilets put side by side in their old home in Encino, California.
The “All About That Bass” singer said they mostly just pee in front of each other.
“We pooped ONCE together and we laughed and said never again,” she wrote on X in 2021.
Days later, Trainor revealed that she and Sabara had pooped together previously.
In October 2021, she commented on X, “To clarify…we pooped ONCE together and laughed and said never again.” “But he will hang around with me even if I’m [pooping], because WE ARE SOULMATES. And I really miss him while I’m away from him.
The former “The Voice UK” judge and Sabara married on her birthday in December 2018.
