One of the most loved showbiz couples, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are back again in the headlines.
The lovebirds who had a hush-hush engagement in July 2018, made an official announcement of their relationship on August 18, 2018. Nickyanka (as their fans fondly call them) had a lovely low-key roka ceremony, followed by a star-studded party in the evening.
All this while, the couple’s love for each other is only winning everyone’s heart. Every picture from their ceremony made us go weak in knees. At that time, we got to know that Nick was super-curious about the ceremony. And he now knows what roka is all about. He was so engrossed in the ceremony that he can explain it just like any Indian.

There is a video floating on the internet, which is from Jimmy Fallen’s chat show, The Tonight Show in which we can see Nick explaining the roka ceremony. Well, Nick was a guest on Jimmy Fallen’s show and Priyanka was also present in the audience. Nick was shown a picture from their roka ceremony and was asked to explain what was going on at that time. It was this time when Nick explained the ritual and it seems that he is smitten by the Indian culture. Also, Priyanka could be seen cheering out loud for every correct answer that he gave.
Earlier, talking about their relationship, Nick had said, “We met through a mutual friend who she did Quantico with, this guy Graham and we met up like in New York the first time and the same day I think we found out that we are both going to the MET gala with Ralph Lauren. And as strange as it sounds but we couldn’t have planned it. We just had a great time. She’s a lovely person and I’m dying now to go to India”. On the other hand, People.com quoted Priyanka as saying, “We’re getting to know each other, and I think it [coming to India] was a great experience for him”.
For the ones who don’t know, Nick’s father, Kevin Jonas recited a poem for the lovebirds on their engagement. An entrepreneur, Raj Shekhar Juneja attended the do and shared the inside details. They happily accepted the idea of roka and puja, and even donned traditional attire for the same. During the roka, Kevin recited a poem for Priyanka and Nick. Priyanka then danced to Desi Girl at her engagement bash, which was a treat to watch”.
