Priyanka Chopra is not our desi girl anymore. She has updated herself to an ‘international desi girl’! With her million dollar smile, upfront attitude, witty sense of humour and her ‘oh-so-stylish’ looks, Priyanka Chopra, the international star, rules the heart of millions but there were only a few lucky ones who got a chance to rule over PeeCee’s heart!

Ever since Priyanka stepped into Bollywood, linkups rumours seemed to get attracted to her just like an iron to a magnet. And why wouldn’t people fall for her? Have you seen the kind of diva she is? Many of her co-actresses have shared that the former Miss World is one of the few stars who have represented India in an international level by getting some prominent and lead roles and making a mark for herself in Hollywood. Let’s take a recap of the men that Priyanka was associated with.

#1. Aseem Merchant

Priyanka and Aseem were seeing each other since their modelling days. Once Priyanka was crowned as Miss World 2000 and got her big Bollywood break, the Saat Khoon Maaf star decided to part ways with him. However, reports have it that Aseem had planned to take his revenge on Priyanka by making a biopic on her titled, 67 Days. Priyanka has also filed a legal notice against the making of the biopic. Priyanka’s ex-manager, Prakash Jaju had also shared that it was a rather serious relationship between Aseem. Rumours also had it that Priyanka had once thought of ending her life due to her frequent arguments with Aseem. In a throwback interview, raising concerns about Priyanka’s flings Jaju had shared:

“Then one should manage one’s personal life well. I never stopped her from having an affair. If she kept getting distracted wasn’t it my duty to check her? Her parents point it out to her when she’s making mistakes.”

#2. Akshay Kumar

It all started during the filming of Aitraaz. And Priyanka started gaining popularity after her terrific performance in the film. Akshay was playing the lead opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra. Onlookers on the sets of the film shared that Priyanka and Akshay would hang out on the sets of the film and their growing closeness impacted his wife, Twinkle Khanna. Grapevine was abuzz that Twinkle had barred Akshay from further working with Priyanka, but there was no confirmation from the couple on the same. In a throwback report of the TOI, Akshay and Twinkle had a major fight in a Goa restaurant on Akshay’s fling with Priyanka. A guest who had witnessed the fight had shared:

“The fight happened in full public view and as both Akshay and Twinkle screamed at each other, one got the distinct impression that he had admitted to having an affair with Priyanka Chopra.”

#3. Harman Baweja

Priyanka and producer Harry Baweja’s son, Harman Baweja were in a steady relationship when Harman made his entry into Bollywood with his first film, Love Story 2015. The film failed to impress anyone at the box office and thus, Priyanka and Harman called it quits. The first rumours of their breakup started spreading when Priyanka and Harman were spotted celebrating New Year 2009 separately. A SpotboyE report had then shared:

“The Priyanka-Harman love story ended soon after they starred together in Love Story 2050 (directed by Harman’s father Harry Baweja) and before they were cast opposite each other in Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee?”

#4. Shah Rukh Khan

Rumours of something ‘more than friends’ brewing between King Khan and Desi Girl, came as a sweet surprise to fans. The duo got along really well while shooting for Don 2 and they were often spotted spending alone time, by many. At one such instance, the stars were seen together at 3am. When questioned about the same, they snapped back saying that it was just for rehearsals. Needless to say, SRK’s wife, Gauri Khan was not at all impressed with her hubby’s conduct and rumours have it that Shah Rukh was strictly warned by Gauri to never be seen together in public. In an interview with the host of an international chat show, Dirty Laundry, Priyanka being her sassy self, revealed quite a few details on the same. When she was asked about a leather jacket she wore at the show, she revealed that it belonged to an ‘ex-boyfriend’ and shared:

“Things get exchanged. But this one I really really loved because it kind of became mine. It stopped being him like after it stayed back in my house once and I just kind of wore it.”

People immediately started guessing as to who it would be? And then, upsurged the following picture (no further words needed)!

#5. Shahid Kapoor

They worked in two movies, Kaminey, which was a big hit and Teri Meri Kahaani, which did not make a mark at the box office. Although there was no confirmation on the same, but the actors were seen growing close to each other. Soon after hanging around for a bit, Shahid and Priyanka broke all ties. In a recent chat show, Shahid had shared that once a famous co-star of his had cheated on him. Was he hinting on Priyanka? As per a throwback DNA report, Priyanka’s house was raided by the income tax department in 2011, when she had called Shahid to the rescue. Priyanka had herself revealed the same back then and shared:

“Yes, Shahid was there at my apartment when it (the income tax raids) happened. He lives just three minutes away from my home and it was but natural for me to give him a call when all that was happening. My mother was also supposed to be there but she couldn’t make it. So I gave him a call and he rushed to my apartment just as he was (reportedly in shorts).”

#6. Tom Hiddleston

English actor, Tom Hiddleston was apparently awed with Priyanka when he saw her at a party. Sources had shared that the duo had posed for multiple selfies, got cosy with each other and had also exchanged numbers. At a chat show with Andy Cohen, Priyanka was asked that she was all ‘touchy’ with Tom after an award show that they had attended together. To which Priyanka retorted by saying:

“We were presenting for like 10 minutes. I met him for 15 minutes. We were behind the curtains for 10 minutes where he was adjusting my dress since it had a long train. We had to figure out to manipulate not tripping.”

However as per a throwback E! News report in 2016, a source had shared:

“Tom had his arm around her and held her close. Afterwards, Tom and Priyanka talked closely and were holding hands at one point for a few moments. Priyanka fixed Tom’s bow-tie and then the two kissed on both cheeks.”

#7. Nick Jonas

Pictures of Priyanka and Nick’s togetherness are everywhere! The duo had walked the MET Gala carpet in 2017 and since then the ‘couple’ has been inseparable. From Priyanka chilling with Nick’s friends and attending his cousin’s wedding, to Nick travelling all the way to India and meeting his potential sasumaa, Madhu Chopra, Priyanka finally seems to have found the kind of love she had always wished to have. In an interview sometime back, Nick spoke about his relationship with Priyanka:

“We met through a mutual friend who she did Quantico with, this guy Graham and we met up like in New York the first time and the same day I think we found out that we are both going to the MET gala with Ralph Lauren. And as strange as it sounds but we couldn’t have planned it. We just had a great time. She’s a lovely person and I’m dying now to go to India”.

Popular international online portal, People.com also quoted Priyanka as saying:

“We’re getting to know each other, and I think it [coming to India] was a great experience for him”.
