Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara reacts to a heartwarming Olympics moment

The U.S. women’s basketball team has yet again created more history at the grandest stage of all the Olympics. Strong contenders for their 8th straight Olympic gold medal, the women’s basketball team has etched their name on the Paris record books. Beating France with the lowest margins, i.e., 1 point, as the USA came out the winner with 67 to 66. Well, that news has traveled fast and got Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara to share this incredible achievement on her Instagram story captioned, “Girl Power,” while adding three muscle emojis. She shared a post by ESPN that congratulated the women’s basketball team for their 8th straight Olympic gold medal. Led by three-time Olympic gold medalist Brittney Griner, Team USA survived a last-ditch effort by Gabby Williams that wasn’t on the mark. As the women’s team, on the back of A’ja Wilson’s 21 points, clinched their 61st consecutive win while snatching the Gold medal from the jaws of the home team. Meanwhile, this was not the only bit of history that the USA women’s basketball team got their hands on. Before the women’s team claimed their 8th successive Olympic gold medal, their counterparts, the men’s basketball team, had their name certain on the record books. But that soon evaporated as the girl gang got their name on the longest Olympic gold medal sequence for a traditional sport. With that being said, Diana Taurasi got her sixth Olympic gold medal, the most for any individual in Olympic team sports events. At the same time, Kacey Plum, with her teammate Jackie Young, received gold medals for both their 3×3 and 5×5 basketball events. As for the new Steelers QB, this was not the first time his wife Ciara had shown interest in the Olympics.

Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara reacts to a heartwarming Olympics moment

The Paris Olympics might have already produced many eye-watering moments. But none of them have managed to catch Ciara’s attention, like the one involving Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade winning her first gold. Well, she was not only happy for Andrade but also ecstatic after seeing Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles bowing down to the winner. Biles and Chiles, respectively, won the silver and bronze medals, but they weren’t shy about paying their respects. Reposting an ESPN post showing the runner-up and third-place shaking hands with Andrade on the podium, Ciara put that on her Instagram story. And a caption that read, “This!!” with three red-heart emojis showing her love for the three champs. What an amazing gesture from Ciara, who never ceases to show her support for athletes. Moreover, she did it while being on her Out of this World tour with Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes. Nonetheless, she is also the No.1 supporter of Russ, who is trying to rediscover his mojo by wearing the Steelers jersey this season.
