Despite being one of the main characters in The Boys, Homelander actor Antony Starr claims he would be “game” to return as the Seven’s leader in a spin-off series.
While visiting 2024’s San Diego Comic-Con with his cast for The Boys, where a Jensen Ackles-led Soldier Boy spinoff was unveiled, Starr discussed the possibility of further Homelander action.
Starr is currently set to return as the character for the show’s fifth and final season, with some potential appearances in spinoffs such as Gen V season 2 as Homelander being on the cards.
While talking with Entertainment Tonight at SDCC, the topic of spinoffs was brought up.
“Thankfully also Eric [Kripke] and these producers have created spinoffs galore,” ET said.
However, Starr jokingly responded: “Thankfully for who, bro?”
ET went on to ask: “I was going to ask you which character you think deserves their own series?”
To which Starr optimistically responded: “I’m game, I’m game!”
You can watch the moment from the interview below:
Jessie T. Usher, who was also asked the same question, added that an A-Train spinoff could work due to the amount of “things that are possible for him.”
Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir, pitched a “Noir & The Deep” spinoff series.
“New Noir trying to discover who Black Noir was,” he added.
However, the stars of the show may like the idea of all kinds of spinoffs, but showrunner Eric Kripke shut the possibility of further branching out any time soon: “I got my hands full, brother.”
“I’m not sweating another spinoff at the moment,” Kripke said on the matter.
“Jensen [Ackles] is such a superstar, and obviously we have a long relationship going back on Supernatural.”
He continued: “You know, I’m just fulfilling the pact we made 20 years ago, that I just have to keep him gainfully employed… for as long as possible.”
“I am a man of my word.”
