While Nick Jonas has been a big star since he was a child as one-third of the Jons Brothers, in more recent years he’s been adding to his acting resume.

And in a recent interview, the actor and musician revealed how his wife of more than five years, Priyanka Chopra, has been able to help him in his preparation before a film shoot.

‘I’ve got a pretty good scene partner at home, Jonas told E! News about his wife, who just happens to be a world-class actress in her own right. ‘By pretty good, I mean like, world class, so that’s always nice.’

In fact, the couple even went as far as to help each other put together their audition tapes.

Their devotion to each other’s crafts go beyond acting out scenes together; they also sit down and try to break down scenes and characters.

‘We just talk about, you know, characters,’ Jonas, 31, divulged, before adding, ‘It’s great to stay creative at home, and then you can bring that into the workspace.’

So, fans should let it be known that Priyanka Chopra helped Nick Jonas get to the core of his character of Renn Wheeland in The Good Half.

During the drama film’s premiere in Los Angeles last week, the Jamshedpur, Bihar, India native couldn’t help but gush about him and the movie on Instagram.

‘Cannot wait for you all to experience this beautiful poignant, touching movie with incredible performances,’ the mother of two-year-old daughter Malti wrote on Instagram August 2. ‘I may or may not be slightly biased, but @nickjonas, you are phenomenal in this one.’

Along with Jonas, the cast for the drama also features Brittany Snow, David Arquette, Alexandra Shipp, Matt Walsh, and Elisabeth Shue.

Directed by Robert Schwartzman who worked from a screenplay by Brett Ryland, The Good Half focuses on Renn Wheeland, as he returns home to Cleveland, Ohio for his mother’s funeral.

Jonas has since moved on to start the shoot for Power Ballad, a musical comedy film directed and co-written by John Carney.

The film, which ‘depicts a conflict between a rock star and a wedding singer,’ co-stars Paul Rudd, Jack Reynor, Havana Rose Liu, and Sophie Vavasseur.

As for his movie star wife, Chopra has no less than two new films in some sort of post-production phase, including the action-comedy Heads Of State with Idris Elba and John Cena.

She also plays the lead in the swashbuckler drama film, The Bluff, for which she stars alongside Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Vedanten Naidoo.

The couple, who have been married since December 2018, welcomed daughter Malti in 2022

In recent years the Quantico actress has starred in the romantic comedy-drama film Love Again (2023), and she’s got two films where she serves as executive producer: To Kill A Tiger and Women Of My Billion.

Jonas first met Priyanka Chopra in 2017, via texting, which ultimately led to them tying-the-knot in December 2018 after a very brief engagement.

Daulter Malti, now two, arrived by way of a surrogate in January 2022.
