Kid Rock surprised fans by taking the stage at his own bar for a special performance of a Bob Seger classic.Over the weekend, Kid Rock made an appearance at his bar on Nashville’s iconic Broadway to enjoy a Saturday night out. While there, the cover band performing for the evening started playing Bob Seger’s iconic hit “Old Time Rock & Roll.”
To everyone’s surprise that night, including the band’s, it seems, Kid Rock grabbed a mic and made his way down to the stage as they kicked off the song, joining in to sing along with them.
At one point, Kid Rock even stepped back to let the saxophone player take the spotlight for an epic solo before he finished singing.
Then, when the song was over, Rock casually walked back to where he was hanging out before without saying a word, leaving the entire bar still trying to process his unexpected musical appearance.
About “Old Time Rock & Roll”Bob Seger has many hits to his name, but “Old Time Rock & Roll” is arguably the most recognized song in his long rock career. Released in 1979 on Seger’s album Stranger in Town, the classic track has become heavily commercialized over the years, appearing in various productions. It’s most famously associated with the iconic scene from Risky Business, where Tom Cruise dances to the tune in just his socks and underwear. Today, the song is considered one of the most popular rock anthems in history.
Kid Rock is definitely no stranger to putting on an exciting performance for his fans.
Most recently, he performed during a massive downpour, refusing to let the rain stop him from giving the crowd a show to remember.
While the rock-country star was performing his hit “American Bad Ass” during his headlining set at the “Rock the Country” music festival, he and the crowd were caught off guard when heavy rain suddenly rolled in. Kid Rock, however, kept singing as if nothing were happening.
