The ‘Deadpool’ actor revealed that the house is always messy because of the kids playing around, but he and his wife have learned to accept and love their current life.

The Hollywood actor confided in the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat aired on Tuesday: “Embrace the chaos. We have four kids. Things are never as neat as they used to be, and only tidy when the kids leave the house.”

Ryan Reynolds said his wife always reminds him how lucky he is to be able to live under the same roof with his kids right now. “We have all our kids with us, it’s not going to last forever. They’re not going to be with us forever,” Ryan recalled Blake saying.

The 47-year-old star also joked that as he gets older, he’s more appreciative of the time he has with his kids. Ryan and Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively have four children together, including daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and one-year-old son Olin.

On the show, the action star said that some of his kids still sleep with their parents because they can’t sleep in their own rooms. Although he enjoys the big bed and a good night’s sleep like before, Ryan revealed that he always imagines “in 30 or 40 years, maybe I’ll want to go back in time and enjoy this moment.”

While promoting Deadpool & Wolverine in late July, Ryan Reynolds revealed the gender and name of his fourth child for the first time. “I want to start by thanking my wife, Blake, who’s here. I want to thank my kids: James, Inez, Betty and Olin. I’m so glad the whole family is here today,” he said on stage at the New York premiere.
