SHOCKING REBUKE: ‘The Boys’ Star Valorie Curry TEARS INTO Fans for DISTURBING Demands at Conventions!

The fourth season of The Boys premiered on June 13, 2024, and ended on July 18, 2024, gaining a Certified Fresh rating and great viewership numbers, but due to its political satire, it has also been exposed to review bombing by angry and poisonous fans. The production didn’t care and publicly mocked and criticized these viewers, with Eric Kripke ordering them to stop watching the show.

The season was particularly popular, thanks in part to the introduction of new characters, some of whom will return for Season 5. One of them is Firecracker, portrayed by actress Valorie Curry, who was one of the series’ most intriguing additions.

We’ve previously reported on both the role and the actress’ views, but the actress has resurfaced in the headlines following a somewhat unpleasant event in Belfast, when she turned to the Internet to chastise the “fans” for their behavior.

Valorie Curry is currently in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she is attending the Northern Ireland Comic Con and is part of the series’ panel. The actress appeared in full costume in front of the fans, and from what we could understand, the fans could approach her, talk to her, and probably get a photograph or an autograph. But, two “fans” (because we cannot call such people fans) crossed the line, and while the actress has not been specific about what happened, she has made it abundantly clear that such behavior is not acceptable in a video posted online:

“Hey guys. Just got back from the first day of Comic-Con in Northern Ireland, Belfast. And by and large, everyone was fantastic, I’ve only just started doing these conventions on my own and everyone for the most part has been so lovely, kind and respectful. (…) We do need to talk about boundaries and what is appropriate in terms of behaviour. I know people saw a character that I played do some pretty extreme things – on The Boys. I don’t care if you’re in costume. I don’t care if you are in character. It’s not okay and it’s not funny to demand those things from me in person at my booth. It’s not okay. Frankly, to the person who did that repeatedly today, I made it pretty clear that it wasn’t okay and that only seemed to make this person and their friend angry. I didn’t think this needed to be explained, but I was deeply uncomfortable. It was quite clear I was uncomfortable. I really want to be able to do [conventions]. I really enjoy getting to meet the fans and talk about the characters that I played – honestly, I really love it. I want to be able to do this. I’m not going to be able to do [conventions] if people are acting this way because it makes me so uncomfortable and honestly you should know better. Everybody else knows better, and again, I don’t know what reaction you were looking for [because] nobody was laughing.”

It is more or less clear what the fans were demanding from these comments and we can only support and stand by the actress, as such behavior is inappropriate and unacceptable, especially towards a woman. We just hope that she does not experience any similar incidents in the future and that this was an exception.
