The Mahomes family’s luxurious mansion has recently become a temporary haven for a flock of turkey vultures. Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, took to her Instagram story on September 11 to share a humorous video of these unwelcome visitors congregating around their home football field.
In the video, Brittany can be heard exclaiming, “Yo, why do all these things,” before clapping her hands to scatter the birds. A child’s voice, presumably that of their three-year-old daughter Sterling, chimes in with, “They’re disgusting,” prompting laughter from Brittany. “They are disgusting, Sterling,” she responds, clearly amused by the situation.
The video captures a total of nine vultures perched on a railing overlooking one of the Mahomes-branded end zones, with an additional five birds resting on a nearby soccer goal. The presence of the soccer goal is likely linked to Sterling’s recent soccer lessons, as Brittany had previously shared a photo of her daughter’s vibrant outfit for the occasion.
Brittany did not elaborate on why the vultures decided to visit their eight-acre property, which the family purchased in 2020 for $400,000 before constructing their dream seven-bedroom mansion, completed in 2023. Patrick Mahomes discussed this investment in a Netflix interview for the series Quarterback, stating, “I signed a 10-year extension … because I knew I wanted to be here. So right when I did that, I was like, ‘I’m gonna be here, I might as well build the exact house I want.’”
The Mahomes mansion boasts impressive features, including a 40-yard miniature football field, an outdoor pool, a par-3 golf hole, and a private pond, all within a luxury gated community. The 14,561-square-foot interior includes a home gym, an indoor basketball court, and a movie theater. Brittany expressed her excitement, saying, “Finally, we are gonna have a home that we built and has everything we could have ever dreamed of having.”
