Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has offered brutal comparisons of boxers to Premier League clubs in an interview with Mail Sport.
He offered his opinions after sitting down with Mail Sport for a one hour interview ahead of Anthony Joshua‘s clash with Daniel Dubois at Wembley on Saturday night.
The promoter offered a series of comparisons of boxers, including the likes of Joshua, Tyson Fury and Canelo Alvarez, to football teams.
Hearn, who has promoted Joshua for 11 years, compared the heavyweight star to his own team Tottenham.
‘Because, written off, come back and ready to win the league,’ said Hearn, explaining his selection.

The promoted compared Tyson Fury to Man United, suggesting he now has ‘question marks’
Joshua would become a three-time world champion on Saturday if he beats Dubois to claim the IBF belt.
Hearn compared Tyson Fury to Manchester United, the club the Gypsy King supports, as he suggested there were now doubts following his loss to Oleksandr Usyk.
‘Considered top for a long time, but now there might be some question marks’ Hearn said.
The promoter then compared Canelo Alvarez – who has held world championship titles in four weight divisions – to Manchester City due to their relentless success.
‘All the money, plenty of ability,’ he explained. ‘Might be unbeatable’.
