Is Russell Wilson close with his stepson Future Jr.? Here’s a look at his relationship with his wife Ciara and Future’s son.

Russell Wilson and Ciara have been going strong since 2015. The couple have been the center of attention for quite some time, always sharing little snippets from their lives online. Of course, the celebrity couple has never shied away from supporting their family in public.

That being said, before having children of their own, the star quarterback and Ciara were also raising the latter’s son, Future Jr. In fact, if you only follow Wilson on Instagram, you might think Future Zahir is his biological son. However, Ciara and her ex, rapper Future, have a child together.

With the singer breaking up with Future, their son ended up spending more time with Russell Wilson. Judging by their constant interactions and photos, Wilson seems to be endeared by Future Jr.

The eight-year-old has been a constant fixture on Wilson’s social media. The Denver Broncos star recently took to Instagram to wish Future Jr. a very happy birthday.

“You are the greatest blessing in the world to me!” Russell Wilson wrote. “The number 8 represents new beginnings Biblically! I can’t wait to see how God uses you this year! Mommy, Daddy, Sienna, and Win love you to Heaven and back!”

Russell Wilson believes Future Jr changed his life for the good

In a previous interview with GQ, Wilson got candid about Future Jr. and how the young boy has ultimately changed his life:

““When I got to meet Future, he was young,” Wilson said. “And the reality was that for me it was a blessing and an opportunity to really hopefully be there for him every day and try to care for him in a way that was important for me, that I always wanted someone to do for me. Like my dad did for me”.

As per the 34-year-old, he has only learnt new and good things with Future Jr., and he wants to be there for him.

Ciara and Wilson have only continued to grow since then.

Apart from Future Jr., Ciara and Russell Wilson have two children together: Sienna Princess and Win Harrison Wilson. Sienna was born in 2017, a year after the couple tied the knot. Win, their youngest, was born in 2020. The family welcomed him home with pomp, sharing the news with fans through a gender reveal.

Fans have continued to support Wilson and Ciara, always making sure to send well wishes in during an important milestone for the family.
