Prince William Jokes About Keeping Gifts Away from Prince Louis: “He Steals from Charlotte!”
During a visit to Swiss Valley Community Primary School in Llanelli, Prince William lightheartedly remarked that he would need to keep gifts away from his youngest son, Prince Louis, as the young royal has a habit of “stealing from Princess Charlotte.”
Meeting with students participating in the 2024 Urdd Eisteddfod, William, 42, received friendship bracelets made by a pupil named Ruby Davies for his children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
William expressed his appreciation, saying, “That’s so sweet. They’re going to wear those, you’ll see them out and about.” He then added with a grin, “I’ll keep them away from Louis because he’ll try and steal all his sister’s bits!”
Earlier this year, both George and Charlotte were seen wearing their friendship bracelets on public outings, highlighting the special bond among the siblings.
Many speculated the accessories were a subtle nod to pop star Taylor Swift, who encouraged her fans to swap friendship bracelets with each other at concerts.
George and Charlotte were spotted celebrating William’s birthday at one of Swift’s Wembley dates, and they even got the chance to meet Swift and take a group selfie.
During Tuesday’s outing, Prince William also spoke to a royal fan named Pauline Thomas, 74, who asked him to pass on her best wishes to Princess Kate.
The Princess of Wales revealed on Monday that her course of preventative chemotherapy had been completed.
This comes six months after Kate’s initial announcement that pre-cancerous cells had been discovered following abdominal surgery.
Royal fan Pauline Thomas passed on her best wishes to the princess, to which William replied: “It’s good news but there is still a long way to go.”
Kate announced she had finished her chemotherapy in a three-minute video which was released on Monday.
The clip was filmed in Norfolk last month, and featured William, George, Charlotte and Louis, as well as Carole and Michael Middleton.
