The Boys Season 4 Shocker: Vought’s New CEO is a Superhuman! You Won’t Believe Who!

Homelander becomes Super Sister Sage Vought’s new CEO in The Boys season 4. Homelander is given the unexpected responsibility of enlisting new members of The Seven at the start of The Boys season 4.

There are three vacancies on The Seven squad as a result of Queen Maeve’s departure and Starlight’s announced resignation. The team’s lineup hasn’t truly matched its moniker since season two. Homelander makes a decision and assigns Sister Sage—Orange Is the New Black series newcomer Susan Heyward—to the role. She is the smartest person on the planet, and Homelander has obviously chosen her because of her power. She immediately establishes this by making remarks about Homelander that demonstrate why you want her on your side.

Sister Sage is chosen by Homelander as his first appointment, and he then gives her the duty of using her power to choose who will take the next seat. In the end, she chooses Firecracker because she thinks that using her powers to fight or 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 Starlight will make her an ally. However, Homelander gives Sister Sage a much more significant post after that—that of directly reporting to her as Vought CEO.

This marks the third CEO of Vought in the history of The Boys TV series. Giancarlo Esposito’s Stan Edgar was the leader of the company for the first three seasons, only to be replaced by Ashley Barrett after his forced retirement. As Vought’s new CEO, Sister Sage quickly makes moves, after selecting Firecracker for The Seven (which Homelander immediately questions) she informs Ashley that while she’s no longer CEO, she’s the company’s mascot. Sage then reveals to The Seven that she’s already aware someone stole security camera footage from Vought that exonerated the Starlighters over the three dead men that were found at the riot. She questions The Deep, though we know that A-Train is the real leak, and even begins interrogating Crime Analytics members (who Homelander quickly 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s despite her protests).

As you may expect, Ashley takes a bad turn when her work is taken away from her and she is forced to become a powerless public figure. Even yet, it’s evident that she has some authority because, as a humiliation fetish, she keeps Vought news anchor Cameron Coleman chained up in her office. Ashley thinks about leaving as well, but she chooses to stay after witnessing Homelander execute a Vought employee without any thought.

Sage later confirms that Firecracker’s stance on The Seven was her idea when she goes with Homelander to a meeting with Vice President-elect Neuman. After the election is validated, she plans to use Firecracker to destroy Starlight, which will make it easier for the three of them—Homelander, Neuman, and Sister Sage—to 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 President-elect Robert Singer. Neuman will become president after that, and in exchange, Sage instructs her to:

  • Disband the Department of SuperHuman Affairs
  • Condemn the “Defund the Supes” movement
  • Remove all books and teachers that reach Critical Supe Theory
  • Place a supe in every town with authority of the police
  • Finally, she comes out and reveals she’s a supe president

Neuman doesn’t agree to all of this just yet, as their meeting is interrupted when Homelander realizes that Hughie is spying on them. Neuman is worried that The Boys will out her as a supe if he’s 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed by Homelander, but the seed has been planted about a government overthrow, and that part doesn’t appear to be objectionable to Neuman.

In The Boys season 4, Karl Urban stars once again as Billy Butcher, leader of The Boys, which also includes Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Laz Alonso as M.M., Tomer Capone as Frenchie, and Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro. Some of the “supes” featured in the series include Antony Starr as Homelander, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, and Chace Crawford as The Deep. Other stars of The Boys include Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, CEO of Vought International, and Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman.

The Boys season 4 will premiere with three episodes on Thursday, June 13, 2024 on Prime Video, with new episodes debuting weekly until The Boys season 4 finale premieres on Thursday, July 18. Prime Video describes the new season as follows:

“The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
