Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have conveyed a “powerful” message through their recent public post. The couple’s annual Christmas card from last holiday season showcased a striking image from the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games held in Düsseldorf, Germany, in September 2023.
Though some may have hoped to see their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍es have chosen to prioritize their privacy amidst the intense public scrutiny they experience. The card included a message that read, “We wish you a very happy holiday season. Thank you for all the support in 2023!” It also featured a link to the annual impact report of their Archewell Foundation, along with a video highlighting the non-profit’s achievements over the year.
During her appearance at the Variety Power of Women event in Los Angeles, Meghan was asked about her favorite holiday tradition. She responded with warmth, saying, “That’s a great question. Our little ones are small, and we’re cherishing every moment with them.”
However, a body language expert pointed out an intriguing detail about the Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 holiday card in an interview with The Daily Express. Darren Stanton suggested that while the card may appear more “corporate,” Harry and Meghan are subtly expressing their happiness to the public. In the photo, both are seen smiling broadly.
“The image captures an enthusiastic Meghan and Harry in a glamorous setting,” Stanton noted. “It’s an effective way to promote their charity and frame themselves positively, as they both seem genuinely happy to be there. The significance of this Christmas card lies in the fact that the photo was taken during the Invictus Games, which is one of their major accomplishments from the past year. It reflects a moment when Harry was at his happiest, with Meghan there to support him. The picture depicts them in a joyful state of mind, which is clearly the message they intended to convey.”
Stanton added, “They appear completely excited, enthusiastic, and optimistic about the year ahead, especially regarding new projects and the Invictus Games. They’re aiming to show that their brand is strong, if not stronger than ever.” Notably, there will not be an Invictus Games in 2024; the next event is scheduled for 2025 in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada.
