Pharrell Williams is revealing the secrets to his youthful glow. The 51-year-old singer of “Happy” revealed his two-part remedy for ageless skin in an interview with People published on Saturday.
“Now, there is a regimen, and you can find it online, but I believe the most active part of it all — no, two. It’s exfoliating, but it’s also in here,” Williams explained to the newspaper, pointing to his heart.

In an interview with People, the singer and music producer shared “exfoliation” is only one part of his routine.
“It’s literally in here. That inner child, don’t ever silence it,” the Louis Vuitton creative director continued.
“Don’t ever [go], ‘Oh, I can’t do this anymore.’ No. That’s why you should absolutely do it right now. The people who want to put you in a box? They tried to do that to me, too, and here we are.”
Williams gave a similar answer when he spoke to Dazed in August 2017, revealing that his wrinkle-free complexion was due to exfoliation.
“I exfoliate like a madman. When you exfoliate and you drink a lot of water, that does good for you,” he said at the time. “To me, the key is just exfoliating, like a monster. There’s a lot of dead skin. All the time. Like a narcissistic madman.”

For years, the music producer told followers that his key skincare secret was to exfoliate “like a mad man.” Some, like R&B musician Frank Ocean, questioned Williams’ claim that she was only using an exfoliating process. In his 2019 GQ cover story, Ocean criticized the music producer for not providing more detailed skincare tips.
“It’s been all these years, and Pharrell still hasn’t given us the keys yet. He just says ‘exfoliate,’ but it’s not just ‘exfoliate’: We need more keys,” he said.
R&B singer Frank Ocean previously called out Williams’ exfoliation advice in GQ: “It’s been all these years, and Pharrell still hasn’t given us the keys yet. … We need more keys.”
In 2020, Williams and his longtime dermatologist, Elena Jones, created their skincare line, Humanrace. The following year, Williams launched Humanrace, a skincare brand he created with his longtime physician, Elena Jones. The collection comprises several products, such as the Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator ($46) and the Humidifying Face Cream ($52). The goods include components like hyaluronic acid and snow mushroom extract.
Williams was just named co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala, alongside Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. LeBron James will serve as honorary chairman. The topic for next year’s event is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” Vogue revealed on Wednesday.
