One of the most well-known superhero shows in the world is The Boys. Adapted on the same-titled comic book, this dark take on the superhero genre quickly became popular on Amazon Prime and continues to push the limits of what can be presented on television in a variety of ways.
After four successful seasons and a spin-off series, the showrunners are now working on its fifth and final season. We kind of trust everyone who has hinted at the show’s amazing finale, considering where the fourth season left us.
Season 4 left us in a state of confusion regarding the characters’ destinies, and there are a ton of unanswered questions because nearly every character left us with a problem that needed to be fixed, which is fantastic. Ashley had a strong character growth in Season 4, despite not being one of the main characters, and the show’s turbulent ending left us with many unanswered issues.
As you might remember from our earlier reports, Ashley’s life changed drastically in Season 4 and the character is now going through a change of sorts, especially in light of what happened in the end, as Ashley becomes the latest non-supe to inject herself with Compound V, the effects of which we have already seen on several other characters.
Of course, the final season will resolve this scene, as we will find out what actually happens to Ashley. But, this moment was so shocking that actress Colbie Minifie was asked about Ashley in a large Variety interview, and while she did not reveal anything fixed, she teased that Ashley’s story will, as you might expect, take a very strange and chaotic turn in the final season of the show:
Ashley shoots herself up with V in the finale after refusing to run away with A-Train, after she realizes she’s in more danger than ever around Homelander. She is instantly in pain but we cut away before we see her fate — what happens next?
COLBY MINIFIE: As we’ve seen, the show’s iconic image of V entering your body is that it enters your bloodstream, causes things to happen in your blood, and then takes control of your body. What we’re implying is that something will occur! Although we don’t know if she lives or dies, I have suggested a few potential superpowers for her, all of which are degrading. I have no idea what they will do or how they will make that happen. But it’s going to be insane.
Ashley’s story is going to take an exciting turn, as you can see.
