The A-list couple’s main home is a calm and comfortable apartment in New York City. The former Gossip Girl star said in an Instagram post on Sunday that she and her husband’s gorgeous urban retreat, which they share with their four children—daughters James, 9, Inez, 6, Betty, 3, and their fourth kid, coming in early 2023—is the result of their hidden interior design secrets.

The Entryway

Lively posted a picture of herself posing in what looks to be the couple’s foyer in December 2023. The rustic wooden floors, painted brick, and wood-clad walls of the house contrast with the actress’s vivid pink ensemble. Gold push-button light switches and a striking painting give the room a very personalized feel.

“Loud luxury,” the actress captioned the post.

The Hallway

Before leaving for a Tiffany & Co. event in May 2023, Lively posted a preview of an opulent-looking hallway. A blind door is a practically undetectable effect created by the blue-gray walls that seem to be covered in a velvet fabric that also covers a door. Gold-framed artwork and a vibrant braided rug give the room a subdued pop of color.

The Living Area

In the main living area, yellow-toned banquette seating peeks out from behind a sturdy exposed wood column in the center of the room. The same exposed brick wall seen in the entryway adds to the industrial loft vibe, while the statement chandelier gives the room a glamorous feel. Framed photographs surround the arched black frame windows.

The actress snapped this photo in May 2022 using the self timer on her phone after she forgot to take photos of her outfit before an event.

“Yes I took these on a self timer bc everyone was asleep when I got home at 9. Sorry outfit. You deserved better,” she wrote.

Lively snapped a photo in her kitchen before heading off to a Yankees game with Reynolds, revealing a glimpse of the dark wooden cabinetry and the pair’s coffee station setup, featuring a stylish espresso machine. In the caption, the actress revealed that she had officially been living in New York for 14 years when she posted the photo in April 2021.

The Artwork

For his wife’s birthday in August 2023, Reynolds shared a touching tribute to Lively on Instagram that included photos of the couple throughout their relationship. In one selfie of the pair, the actor’s followers got a close-up look at the same space from Lively’s Yankees snap, including an abstract artwork hanging in the kitchen, which appears to be made out of puzzle pieces.

Finally, the main bedroom’s black-framed windows and gray-tone wooden floors bring the industrial and rustic themes together. The gold sconce, beige wall color, and upholstered bed all give soft touches to the room. In an Instagram post on Sunday, Lively disclosed that she created the place herself and that she truly has a secret aptitude for interior design.

The actress stated in the caption, “and yes I low key moonlight as an interior designer but please don’t tell bc I definitely don’t want the world to know that I have a hidden talent which I require external validation on,” after praising Michael Kors for her glistening gold ensemble. A view of the main bathroom, which has a marble free-standing bathtub, was also seen in the picture.
