Michael Keaton addresses men who attend Donald Trump and Elon Musk rallies: ‘They laugh at you’

With election season in full swing, Michael Keaton became the latest star to make public his thoughts on the forthcoming presidential election between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump.

The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice actor, 73, took to Instagram on Tuesday with a short clip in which he cited the former president’s alliance with billionaire Elon Musk, 53, saying that rallygoers were misled into thinking that either man would want to associate with them.

‘For some of you folks who – guys mostly, I guess – who are thinking about attending a rally with Musk and Trump: they don’t really respect you,’ the Oscar-nominated star said in the clip.

The Coraopolis, Pennsylvania native – who last month said he was considering  changing his name – added: ‘They laugh at you behind your back, they think you’re stupid.’

Keaton, who played Batman in 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns, as well as last year’s The Flash, said that neither Trump or Musk have a high regard for the working class people who gather in their support.

‘They don’t want to hang out with you, they have nothing in common with you – they’re not your bros,’ the Multiplicity actor said.

Keaton cited a 2016 quote from Trump on his enduring popularity in an attempt to support his point.

‘I’m telling you, when Trump – years ago, I guess – said, “I could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and they’d still vote for me,” basically what he’s saying in parentheses is, these people are so stupid, they’re so dumb, they’d still vote for me.’

The Paper actor wrapped up his political statement in saying of Trump and Musk: ‘They have no respect for you, trust me.’

Musk made headlines for his animated antics onstage in Butler, Pennsylvania with Trump during an October 5 rally, as he jumped in the air in support of the former commander in chief.

Keaton has past showed his support for the Harris-Tim Walz ticket via his social media pages, and also appeared at a September rally in Pittsburgh for the Democrat nominees, WPXI reported.

He appeared in a YouTube ad released Tuesday targeted at Western Pennsylvania voters.

‘You know what, this is getting really, really scary – me? If he gets elected, chances are I’ll be okay – middle class ain’t going to be okay,’ Keaton said. ‘And if you’re young, you sure enough ain’t going to be okay – I’m telling you, it’s going to get bad.’
