Lizzo teases new songs as she is ‘the happiest I’ve been in ten months’ after stressing she is not leaving the music industry.

Only two months after declaring early retirement, Lizzo is preparing to release new songs.

On Tuesday, the 36-year-old Grammy Award winner uploaded a mirror picture and previewed her upcoming album, revealing her recent mental health journey.

“I’m the happiest I’ve been in ten months,” Lizzo wrote in the post. Depression often goes unnoticed until it’s over.

‘I’m not as carefree as I once was. But the dark cloud that surrounded me every day is gradually lifting.’

She added, ‘My smile reaches my eyes again and that’s a win. I thought my album was finished.. but I gotta get some of these good vibes off in a banger real quick. Thanks for your patience.’

Lizzo opened up about her recent mental health journey on Tuesday as she shared a mirror selfie and teased her new album

‘I’m the happiest I’ve been in 10 months,’ wrote Lizzo in the caption. ‘The strange thing about depression is you don’t know you’re in it until you’re out of it’

Lizzo previously led fans to believe she was quitting the music industry as she aired her frustrations on social media amid the 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual harassment lawsuit against her.

‘All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it,’ she wrote in part. ‘But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it.

‘I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views… being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name.’

The Special artist added, ‘I didn’t sign up for this s**t— I QUIT.’

After support from fans and friends like Paris HiltonQueen Latifah and Tordick Hall, Lizzo clarified that she only meant she ‘quit giving any negative energy attention.’

‘What I’m not going to quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting to people, ’cause I know I’m not alone,’ she said.

‘In no way, shape or form, am I the only person, who is experiencing that negative voice that seems to be louder than the positive,’ added Lizzo.

Last August, Lizzo was sued by three of her former dancers — Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez — who accused her of 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.

Her ‘I QUIT’ post came after the dancers’ attorney Ron Zambrano slammed ‘shameful’ President Joe Biden for having her perform at his $25 million Radio City fundraiser in March.

She added, ‘My smile reaches my eyes again and that’s a win. I thought my album was finished.. but I gotta get some of these good vibes off in a banger real quick. Thanks for your patience’

‘It’s shameful that Lizzo would be chosen to headline an event like this amid such egregious allegations,’ said Zambrano.

Lizzo responded to the ‘false allegations‘ in a statement, calling the claims ‘unbelievable’ and ‘outrageous.’

‘These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional,’ she said.

Lizzo added, ‘I’m hurt but I will not let the good work I’ve done in the world be overshadowed by this. I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support to lift me up during this difficult time.’
