A video montage of Angel Reese mic’d up during practice with the Chicago Sky is gaining widespread attention, showcasing the rookie sensation having a great time interacting with her teammates and coaches.
On Wednesday, the Sky posted the minute and 18-second video on their social media pages, writing: ‘We know you’ve all been waiting for this one.’ Aside from knocking down threes and sharing handshakes, the video highlighted Reese’s banter with her teammates during a scrimmage. She is also seen throwing jokes towards coach Teresa Weatherspoon.
‘You tired?’ I know you tired,’ Reese tells her coach during one of the drills. ‘Yo, you need some water?’ she continued before slapping hands with Weatherspoon and laughing.
In the following clip, Reese talks about the opposing side during a drill and says: ‘Ya’ll getting cooked, Hibachi style.’

Sky guard Chennedy Carter is also seen in the video. During an exchange, Reese tells Carter how she ‘used to be on guard until I got tall.’
Additionally, Reese kept it light in practice – dancing and telling staff members at the facility to turn the music up.
Chicago is currently eighth in the league and fourth in the Eastern Conference with an 11-21 record and eight games remaining. While the team has struggled in recent games, barely holding on to playoff contention, Reese has left her mark on the WNBA as a rookie.
On Sunday, she broke the WNBA record for most rebounds in a single season after snagging 19 rebounds in a loss to the Minnesota Lynx to bring her tally to 418 for the year. Her 405th board came in the second quarter and broke Sylvia Fowles’ 404 from 2018.
Reese is averaging 13.2 points along with 12.9 rebounds per game. She also has 23 double-doubles this season, 15 of which came consecutively – another one of her rookie feats.
