Gen V season 2 has begun filming, and fresh behind-the-scenes photographs reveal some of what to expect from The Boys spinoff’s next round of episodes. Following the conclusion of Gen V season 1, the key characters were found to be confined in an unknown place, while Cate and Sam were lauded as heroes despite causing the Godolkin genocide. It also passed the torch to the next season of its parent series, with Billy Butcher now aware of the infection that can đđžđđ Supes.
Derek Luh, who plays Jordan’s male form, has now tweeted photographs from the Gen V season 2 set, showing his return to the show.
.
The image shows Luh getting prepared for his return, sporting a “God U” jacket that could hint at what’s next for his character. Another image comes from Lizze Broadway’s Instagram story of two chairs for her character, Emma, and Jordan.
The actor tagged both Luh and London Thor, the latter of whom portrays Jordan in their female form. It appears the duo are going to be sharing a scene together.
What Will Happen In Gen V Season 2?
Not much has been revealed yet about Gen V season 2, aside from the fact that Marie and the other core characters from season 1 will continue to be its primary focus. However, Chance Perdomo, who portrayed Andre, died in a motorcycle crash in March 2024, with no plans to recast for the role. His absence will likely be a key part of the next batch of episodes, though will be handled in a way that pays tribute to his time on the series.
In terms of the overall story, though, it seems every character will have a chance to shine as they reckon with Sam and Cate’s betrayal. This will hit Emma especially hard given her connections to the hyper-strong Supe, who could be the subject of her upcoming scene with Jordan. However, the biggest mystery is still where the team ended up at the end of season 1, something that will no doubt continue to be unclear until the show comes back.
It’s also a strong possibility that the events of The Boys season 4 end up tying together with the spinoff, perhaps informing where it’s storyline is going to go in the future. If that’s the case, then Gen V season 2 could end up being required watching for the ever-expanding franchise, leading to more relevant and important stories in the future. With the spinoff’s production now underway, it may not be long until even more information about its mysterious continuation get revealed.
