Billie Eilish’s ex-boyfriend, Jesse Rutherford, is irritated by her new song L’Amour de Ma Vie, which he views as a diss track about their brief relationship, according to insiders.

Billie’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, includes the single “Love of My Life,” which translates to “Lover of My Life” in French. The lyrics are harsh, with Billie admitting to lying about her relationship with a past boyfriend.

While the 22-year-old pop sensation has not acknowledged that the song is about Jesse, insiders tell DailyMail.com that the former actor, who is 10 years her older at 32, feels ‘deceived’ after Billie admitted to being attracted to women following their divorce.

‘Billie’s statement on L’Amour de Ma Vie that her worst lie was telling Jesse he was the love of her life, in retrospect, is not the biggest lie at all,’ a source added. ‘It wasn’t even close.

‘Jesse doesn’t believe that she suddenly started liking women when the relationship ended – it doesn’t work like that.

Listeners have also been busy speculating that the track Wildflower is a nod to Devon, who has a phone case company called Wildflower Cases.

Billie doesn’t hold back her feelings on L’Amour de Ma Vie, and sings: ‘I wish you the best for the rest of your life / Felt sorry for you when I looked in your eyes / But I need to confess, I told you a lie / I said you / You were the love of my life / The love of my life.’

Other lyrics include: ‘Did I break your heart? / Did I waste your time? / I tried to be there for you / Then you tried to break mine.’
