Actor Jack Quaid of The Boys may be betting on Superman in the event of a potential crossover between Homelander and the Man of Steel. Actor Antony Starr, of Homeland, on the other hand, strongly disagrees.
In a recent commentary, Quaid—who plays Clark Kent in the animated series My Adventures with Superman—discussed the fan discussion of who would prevail in a fight between Homerlander and Superman. Before he could vanquish Homelander with confidence, Quaid’s Superman might still need to learn a few things, but he promised that he would reach that stage soon enough. Starr responded by telling Screen Rant that since Homelander would be fighting dirty and have nothing to stop him, he would win.
“Oh, really? Is that what [Jack Quaid] thinks? Here’s why Homelander would kick Superman’s ass,” Starr said. “There’s no Kryptonite factor, and Homie would fight so dirty. He’s the [type to go], ‘Oh, you got me!’ as he goes down and then comes up and throws sand in your eyes. He’s the dirty dude, man. Whereas Superman is always like, ‘Oh, I wouldn’t do that. Oh, there’s innocent children that might get hurt.’ Homie’s going to human shield himself with the kids.”
Jack Quaid Says Superman Has to Win the Fight
On the battle, Quaid previously told Screen Rant, “[Superman] has to [win], right? Like if he doesn’t, we’re all in trouble. I think my particular version of Superman has a lot of growing to do, and he still needs to discover some more of the powers that we all know are in there but give him a few seasons, and he can take Homelander, for sure.”
In any case, Superman isn’t around in the world of The Boys, so Quaid’s Hughie Campbell and pals will need to explore other ways of ultimately taking Homelander out of commission. In terms of sheer power, there’ The feud continues with the upcoming fourth season of The Boys, which is dropping in June. Fans should also be happy to know that the story will continue beyond Season 4, as Amazon has given an early renewal for Season 5 for the series.
The Boys is streaming on Prime Video with Season 4 set to debut on June 13, 2024, while My Adventures with Superman returns on Saturday, May 25 on Adult Swim. It will be made available for streaming on Max the next day.
